ABOUT THOMAS KARROW, M.Ed., CRC, CDMS, CCMThomas S. Karrow, M.Ed., CRC, CDMS, CCM, has been active in the vocational rehabilitation service area for over 40 years. He has experience in worker’s compensation, life care planning, disability management, and vocational consulting. He is experienced as an expert witness in several states in the areas of worker’s compensation, personal injury, long-term disability, and Social Security disability. Mr. Karrow is a known forensics vocational expert witness. He is certified as a case manager (CCM) number 00002631 by the Commission for Case Management Certification. He is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor No. C-015887 as well as a Disability Management Specialist CDMSC No. 00002631. Additionally, he has certifications with the State of Nebraska as a Vocational Counselor and Job Placement Specialist, certificate No. VRC225/JPS 207; in the State of Minnesota as a Certified Vocational Job Placement Specialist, Vendor No. 1055; and also the State of Wisconsin as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, No. 726. Mr. Karrow has been the president of Karrow Consulting, Inc. since 1999. Karrow Consulting provides services to South Dakota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. Karrow Consulting provides vocational file reviews at no charge, professional expertise on job analysis, job placement, skills for job seeking, labor market surveys to prove employability, transferable skills analyses using the most recent software available, vocational rehabilitation plans to include life care plans, job restructuring/onsite accommodations, and research training opportunities to identify gainful work. Mr. Karrow is married and has two adult children and two grandchildren. He is aware of some of life’s struggles, failing third grade and having to repeat it. He joined the United States Army at age 17 and obtained his General Education Diploma while attending boot camp in 1970. While in the military he was severely injured. He was in and out of hospitals for almost two years. He suffered head, arm, and leg injuries. Mr. Karrow graduated from Sioux Falls College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. His major was criminal justice and sociology. He has a minor in psychology. Mr. Karrow went on to graduate from South Dakota State University with a Masters of Education in counseling and guidance and personnel services in 1977. |
